Job summary

Medacs Healthcare is recruiting a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor in Gateshead for NMC- or HCPC-registered professionals such as nurses, paramedics, physiotherapists or occupational therapists. The role centers on clinical reasoning, analysis and written reports rather than hands-on care, within a supportive hybrid model.

Starting salary £42,000 with progression to £46,000 after accreditation and a minimum of 3 days per week on site; annual reviews, incentives and potential

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse or HCPC registered professional with UK registration.
• Minimum 1 year UK clinical experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with digital systems and typing at ~35 WPM.
• Right to work in the UK; sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face and telephone PIP assessments.
• Analyse medical evidence and clinical information.
• Produce accurate, detailed written reports.
• Work within defined quality standards and frameworks.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative colleagues.
• Attend the assessment centre as required.
