Job summary

Medacs Healthcare is recruiting for a Functional Assessor (Registered Paramedic) in Sunderland with a hybrid working model combining home working and assessment-centre time. Starting salary £42,000, rising to £46,000 after full accreditation and minimum three site days per week, with annual reviews and potential incentives.

The role focuses on clinical reasoning, analysis and detailed report writing, not hands-on care.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or HCPC-registered clinician (Paramedic, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist).
• Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions.
• Minimum 1 year UK clinical experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available).
• Experience in functional assessment or advisory roles.
• Experience producing high-quality clinical reports.

Responsibilities

• Analyse medical evidence and clinical information.
• Produce accurate, detailed and evidence-based written reports.
• Work to defined quality standards and clinical frameworks.
• Engage positively with feedback and development opportunities.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative colleagues.
• Attend the assessment centre as required.
