Job summary

Medacs Healthcare is recruiting for a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor based in Hull. You will use your clinical expertise in a non-hands-on role, performing face-to-face and phone assessments, analysing evidence, and writing detailed reports within a defined clinical framework.

The role offers a hybrid model with home and assessment-centre work, a starting salary of £42,000 rising to £46,000 after accreditation, and ongoing training and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered Nurse or HCPC-registered Paramedic, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist.
• Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions.
• Minimum 1 year's UK clinical experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident use of digital systems (35 WPM typing speed).
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available).
• Experience in functional assessment or advisory roles.
• Ability to produce high-quality written clinical reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face and telephone PIP assessments in a professional and empathetic manner.
• Analyse medical evidence and clinical information.
• Produce accurate, detailed and evidence-based written reports.
• Work to defined quality standards and clinical frameworks.
• Engage positively with feedback and development opportunities.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative colleagues.
• Attend the assessment centre as required.
