Job summary

Arthur Rank Hospice Charity in Cambridge is seeking a Wellbeing Assistant to provide personalised emotional, psychological and practical support to patients with advanced serious illnesses and their families. The role includes designing individual care plans and coordinating patient support groups, with one day per week community-based across Cambridgeshire.

The post is full-time (37.5 hours per week) for six months, with potential for job sharing.

Qualifications

• Relevant Level 3 vocational qualification (e.g. Health & Social Care) or Care Certificate or Level 2 qualification with significant experience.
• Experience in health & social care or rehabilitation service is essential.
• Must hold a valid driving license and be able to travel across Cambridgeshire.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement individual care programmes for patients and carers.
• Plan and coordinate patient support groups.
• Provide personalised emotional, psychological and practical support to patients and families.
• Support quality of life and emotional wellbeing during palliative and end-of-life care.
