About the role
You'll be carrying out internal and external painting and decorating across occupied and empty homes, including communal areas. The work is varied, steady, and you'll be part of a supportive team that values quality and doing things right first time.
Day‑to‑day, you'll be:
- Painting and decorating kitchens, bathrooms and full rooms
- Completing tape & fill, minor plastering and surface repairs before decorating
- Treating damp and mould where required
- Decorating communal areas in blocks of flats
- Protecting furniture, floors and fixtures while you work
- Reporting property condition issues and any safeguarding concerns
- Using a handheld device (PDA) to log jobs, photos and SOR codes
- Keeping your van and equipment maintained and stocked
- Working safely and following all health & safety procedures

What you need
- NVQ Level 2 in Painting & Decorating (or equivalent experience)
- Experience working in occupied and void domestic properties
- Tape & fill or basic plastering skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Able to use a PDA / mobile device
- A tidy, respectful approach when working in people's homes
Desirable but not essential:
- Multi‑skilled experience
- Wallpapering
- Knowledge of WHQS or social housing
- Awareness of asbestos regulations
- Ability to speak Welsh, Arabic or Somali
