Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to perform painting, decorating, preparation and finishing tasks on residential and/or commercial properties.

The role involves preparing surfaces, applying paints and decorative finishes, and ensuring work is completed to high standards while adhering to safety procedures. You will work indoors and outdoors, often at height, and must maintain high-quality workmanship with good time management and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, scraping, and repairing imperfections.
• Apply paint, varnish, stains, wallpaper, and other decorative finishes.
• Use brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and other painting tools safely and effectively.
• Protect floors, furniture, fixtures, and surrounding areas before starting work.
• Mix and match colours and finishes as required.
• Carry out interior and exterior painting and decorating work.
• Complete work to agreed timescales and quality standards.
• Keep work areas clean, tidy, and safe throughout the job.
• Identify and report any damage, defects, or additional work required.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
• Work independently or as part of a team, depending on the project.
