Job summary

Metropolitan Thames Valley is seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our Property team in the East Midlands. This permanent, full-time role offers 40 hours per week, typically 8am–6pm, with a DBS background check as part of our safeguarding standards.

You will bring NVQ2 (or equivalent) and experience in social housing or local authority environments, plus a full UK driving licence to support travel across sites. Competitive salary and benefits apply.

The role

Title: Painter and Decorator

Location: East Midlands

Salary: £28,384 - £29,878

Working hours/pattern: 40 hours per week between 8am – 6pm.

Requirements

• Previously worked in a social housing or local authority environment

Experience

• Relevant NVQ2 qualification or equivalent trade experience

Driving

• A full UK manual driving licence (you will provided with your own Metworks van for working hours).
• A minimum of one year of significant driving experience. (MTVH reserves the right to withdraw an offer of employment if company fleet policy is unable to secure adequate insurance.)
