Job summary

Auto Skills UK is seeking an experienced Paint Sprayer to join a modern accident repair environment in Birmingham. You will prepare and refinish vehicles to a high standard with a focus on quality and efficiency.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule (8:30am–5:00pm) with no weekend work, a competitive salary up to £48,000 DOE, and opportunities for training, progression and long-term career development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Automotive Paint Sprayer / Paint Technician within a Bodyshop.
• Strong knowledge of modern automotive paint systems and refinishing techniques.
• Experienced in colour matching, blending, full and partial resprays.
• Confident preparing vehicles and panels to a high standard.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality.
• Ability to work efficiently to agreed production times and deadlines.
• Full UK Driving Licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles and panels for painting, including sanding, masking, priming and preparation.
• Mix and apply modern automotive paint systems to manufacturer specifications.
• Carry out full and partial resprays, colour matching, blending and refinishing.
• Complete polishing and finishing work to achieve high-quality, factory-standard results.
• Inspect completed work and rectify any imperfections where required.
• Work closely with Panel Technicians, MET Technicians and Workshop Controllers to maintain efficient vehicle throughput.
• Maintain spray equipment and working areas in a clean, safe and professional condition.
• Follow manufacturer repair methods, quality standards and Health & Safety procedures.

THE ROLE

As an Experienced Paint Sprayer, you will be responsible for preparing and refinishing accident-damaged vehicles to a consistently high standard. Working alongside a skilled Bodyshop team, you will ensure repairs are completed efficiently, accurately and in line with manufacturer and industry standards.

We're looking for an experienced and quality-focused Paint Sprayer who takes pride in their workmanship and can consistently deliver excellent finishes within a professional accident repair environment.

• Proven experience as an Automotive Paint Sprayer / Paint Technician within a Bodyshop
• Strong knowledge of modern automotive paint systems and refinishing techniques
• Experienced in colour matching, blending, full and partial resprays
• Confident preparing vehicles and panels to a high standard
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality
• Ability to work efficiently to agreed production times and deadlines
• Strong team player with a professional and positive attitude
• IMI and/or ATA qualifications advantageous but not essential
• Full UK Driving Licence preferred
