Job summary

Auto Skills UK is seeking an experienced Paint Sprayer/Technician in Harrow. The role focuses on preparing and refinishing accident-damaged vehicles to a high standard, with a stable Monday–Friday schedule and a basic salary in the £54,500–£59,500 range plus DOE.

You will work with a skilled Bodyshop team, ensuring quality workmanship and efficient repair processes, while adhering to health and safety practices.

PAINT SPRAYER / PAINT TECHNICIAN

Location: Harrow

Salary: £54,500 - £59,500+ DOE

Working Monday to Friday from 6:30am to 4:30pm, you'll benefit from a consistent working pattern, with only occasional Saturday mornings depending on business needs. THE ROLE

As a Paint Sprayer / Paint Technician, you'll be responsible for preparing and refinishing accident-damaged vehicles, ensuring all paintwork is completed efficiently and to a consistently high standard.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing vehicle surfaces for refinishing, including sanding, filling, masking, and priming.
  • Mixing and applying paint using appropriate spray equipment and techniques.
  • Carrying out colour matching, blending, and refinishing work to achieve a high-quality finish.
  • Inspecting completed paintwork and rectifying imperfections where required.
  • Working closely with Panel Beaters and other Bodyshop technicians to maintain an efficient repair process.
  • Completing allocated repairs within agreed timescales while maintaining excellent workmanship.
  • Following relevant health and safety procedures when handling paints, solvents, and workshop equipment.
  • Maintaining spray equipment, tools, and the working area in a clean and professional condition.
ABOUT YOU

This opportunity would suit an experienced Paint Sprayer / Paint Technician / Paint Refinisher / Vehicle Painter who takes pride in producing high-quality finishes.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Previous experience as a Paint Sprayer or Paint Technician within a professional Bodyshop or accident repair environment.
  • Recognised qualification in Vehicle Refinishing (NVQ / IMI / City & Guilds / ATA or equivalent), with a commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Strong knowledge of modern vehicle paint systems, colour matching, blending, and refinishing techniques.
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • The ability to work efficiently while maintaining consistently high standards.
  • Strong organisation and the ability to work effectively as part of a skilled workshop team.
  • A full UK driving licence.
