Job summary

Autoskills-Uk is seeking an experienced Paint Sprayer to join a professional, modern accident repair centre in Glasgow. The role offers a basic salary of £35,000–£45,000 DOE, with an attractive OTE of £50,000 and a Company Vehicle Programme, plus retention bonuses.

You will work Monday to Friday with an early finish every Friday in a well-equipped Bodyshop, contributing to high-quality finishes and efficient repair processes while enjoying long-term career security.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Paint Sprayer/Paint Technician in a busy bodyshop or accident repair centre.
• Recognised qualification in Vehicle Refinishing (NVQ/IMI/City & Guilds/ATA or equivalent).
• Excellent knowledge of modern paint systems and refinishing techniques.

Responsibilities

• Prepare repaired vehicles for painting, including sanding, masking and priming.
• Mix and apply paint using modern spray equipment to achieve a high-quality finish.
• Colour match to manufacturer specifications and refine finishes to meet standards.
• Inspect completed work to ensure finishes meet customer and manufacturer expectations.

THE ROLE

As a Paint Sprayer / Paint Technician, you'll be responsible for preparing and refinishing vehicles to manufacturer standards, ensuring every repair leaves the workshop with an exceptional finish.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing repaired vehicles for the painting process, including sanding, masking, and priming.
• Mixing and applying paint using modern spray equipment to achieve a flawless finish.
• Colour matching to manufacturer specifications.
• Completing paint refinishing work efficiently while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
• Inspecting completed work to ensure all finishes meet customer and manufacturer expectations.
• Working closely with Panel Beaters, MET Technicians, and workshop colleagues to maintain an efficient repair process.
• Maintaining all spray booth equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Following all health and safety procedures and environmental guidelines.

ABOUT YOU

This role would suit an experienced Paint Sprayer / Paint Technician / Paint Refinisher / Vehicle Painter who takes pride in producing high-quality finishes.

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Paint Sprayer or Paint Technician within a busy Bodyshop or accident repair centre.
• Recognised qualification in Vehicle Refinishing (NVQ / IMI / City & Guilds / ATA or equivalent), with a commitment to continuous professional development.
• Excellent knowledge of modern paint systems and refinishing techniques.
• Strong colour matching and blending skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• The ability to work efficiently while maintaining excellent repair standards.
• Strong communication and team-working skills.
• A full UK driving licence.
