Job summary

McLaren Automotive seeks a Paint Manufacturing Engineer to support series production in Woking. You will help stabilize and improve paint processes, drive cost and efficiency improvements, and collaborate with Production, Quality and Maintenance teams.

Key areas include tooling readiness, process control, and continuous improvement activities to enhance first-time quality and throughput in a live production environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Live series production manufacturing engineering experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of PFMEA, process control and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide manufacturing engineering support to Paint series production areas, ensuring processes remain stable, capable, safe, and efficient.
• Investigate production, quality and process concerns using root-cause methods and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor process performance, identify trends and drive improvements for first-time quality, throughput and efficiency.
• Support Paint Shop readiness for daily production needs including tooling, fixtures, consumables, and standard operating conditions.
