Job summary

McLaren Automotive Ltd. is seeking a Principal Technician for the end-of-line paint shop. You will resolve quality issues, rework faults to high standards, and support a 5S, safety-focused environment while maintaining paint application levels in line with McLaren's quality expectations.

You will work with production teams to ensure continuous improvement, apply strong communication, and uphold safety standards as part of a high-performance manufacturing ethos.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in paint application in automotive or similar manufacturing settings.
• Ability to diagnose and rework faults to defined standards.
• Strong focus on safety and 5S in the workspace.

Responsibilities

• Understand practical problem-solving methods and rework instructions.
• Escalate issues in quality stations and rectify to process standard.
• Ensure 5S within the work area and maintain required clothing standards.
• Maintain a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities as requested by leadership.
