Job summary

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting experienced nurses to join the Paediatric Transport Service as Band 6. You will provide direct clinical care to infants during emergency and elective transfers, rotate across three teams and support a 24/7 service across East of England.

The PaNDR service collaborates with referring hospitals and ambulance transfers, offering opportunities to develop advanced critical care skills and contribute to outreach education with the MDT.

Qualifications

• Paediatric Critical Care qualification
• Teaching/mentorship qualification
• Paediatric Life Support Course
• Safeguarding level 3, Enhanced Nursing Skills
• Leadership qualification, PICU nursing experience
• Shift leader experience
• Transferring children between departments internally
• Experience of governance processes which help to development the service and measure quality
• NHS experience

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care to infants requiring emergency and elective transfers.
• Rotate across three teams delivering a 24/7 service 365 days a year.
• Contribute to outreach education and develop learning with the MDT.
• Support family-centred care within the Paediatric Transport Service.
