Job summary

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s Addenbrooke’s Hospital PICU/HDU unit is seeking an experienced Paediatric Intensive Care Nurse (Band 7) to lead and deliver expert care across all levels of critically ill children. You will work within a large teaching hospital and collaborate with PaNDR to provide regional specialist services in the East of England.

Qualifications

• NMC registration to practice in the UK.
• Post-registration paediatric critical care qualification.
• Evidence of master’s degree level study.
• Leadership training and continuing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective care to all levels of critically ill/injured children in PICU/HDU.
• Demonstrate effective clinical decision making and mentor the PICU team.
• Lead service development and collaboration with PaNDR and regional partners.
• Contribute to audit, guidelines and standards to improve patient outcomes.
