A vacancy has arisen for a Support Secretary within The Child Health Directorate at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust to work within a team of Administrative Staff providing secretarial and administrative support to our Division.
The post holder is required to support in the delivery of a comprehensive administrative service to a specialty team. This will involve waiting list management for Diabetes, Endocrinology, Oncology and Haematology, in accordance with the Patient Access Policy, communicating appointment and admission related information to patients and carers and typing correspondence as appropriate. The post holder will log referrals, make/amend appointments and deal with all queries that come in to the team.
The post holder will be responsible for sorting and distributing incoming/outgoing information in a timely manner. Application of the national rules and guidance is critical in relation to treating patients in a timely manner and chronologically, whether by clinical priority or in terms of length of wait.
