Job summary

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting an Operational Coordinator to support the day-to-day management of Paediatric Outpatient services across Derby and Burton. You will oversee RTT pathways, waiting lists, clinic capacity and service performance to ensure smooth patient flow.

You will work closely with consultants, medical secretaries and the wider management team, leading on staff development, performance management and service improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• GCSE English Language and Mathematics Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of RTT pathways and waiting list management.
• Experience in outpatient services and clinic management.
• Experience in managing staff, including sickness absence and performance.
• Experience leading service improvement or change projects.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day management of Paediatric Outpatient services across Derby and Burton.
• Monitor performance, escalate risks, and report at relevant meetings.
• Manage Paediatric administrative and secretarial teams including recruitment and relations.
• Lead and support service development and transformation projects.
