Job summary

Pulse Healthcare is seeking a Paediatric Occupational Therapist for a specialist independent day school in North Warwickshire. The role supports pupils with ASD, ADHD, speech, language, and SEMH needs across the school’s secondary provision.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver therapeutic assessments and interventions. The post requires HCPC registration, experience with complex needs, and strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
• Experience delivering therapeutic interventions for children and young people with complex needs.
• Strong understanding of neurodevelopmental conditions, developmental trauma, and special educational needs.
• Experience supporting teams around a child to create clinically informed environments.
• Excellent communication, training, and leadership skills.
• Highly organised with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions for children and young people with complex additional needs.
• Deliver individualised, outcome-focused therapeutic programmes based on clinical assessment and formulation.
• Support the development of therapeutic learning and living environments across the school.
• Work collaboratively with education staff, families, and other clinicians to ensure pupils receive joined-up, person-centred support.
• Embed therapeutic strategies into everyday school practice to maximise engagement, participation, and independence.
• Deliver consultation, workshops, training, and guidance to educational teams.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the clinical service and therapeutic provision.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and uphold professional standards.
