Job summary

Pulse Healthcare is seeking a Band 5/6 Occupational Therapist to join our Children's Social Care OT Team in East London. The role involves home-based assessments and interventions for children with Autism, learning disabilities, and other needs, to support independence and social participation.

You will work within the Children with Disabilities Service, collaborating with social care, healthcare, and SEN staff, while contributing to training and family support.

Qualifications

• Must be HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and empathy with pupils and families.
• Ability to manage time and caseload, prioritising tasks with support.
• Experience with pupils aged 7-18 with OT needs; knowledge of Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ASD, ADHD.

Responsibilities

• Provide an effective and efficient Occupational Therapy service to children in their homes.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.
• Support and carry out therapy sessions (individual and group).
• Collaborate with social care, healthcare and SEN staff to model good practice.
• Complete administrative duties including data input and record keeping.
