Job summary

Komplex Care is seeking a Paediatric Care Assistant in Carlisle to deliver nurse-led, at-home complex care for a child with lifelong clinical needs. Hours are 3:30pm–8:30pm, Monday to Friday (25 hours weekly). Pay is £13.50 per hour, with full training and ongoing career development.

You will follow detailed care plans, assist with gastrostomy care, ventilation and suction, monitor conditions, and keep accurate records. A full UK driving licence and compassionate, calm approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence
• Experience in care or willingness to undertake clinical training
• Excellent attention to detail and situational awareness
• Ability to follow detailed clinical protocols
• Basic IT skills for communication and record-keeping
• Genuine commitment to safe, person-centred care

Your Role as a Care Assistant

You’ll join a dedicated, nurse-led team providing hands-on care for individuals with lifelong and potentially life-critical clinical needs. This is NOT standard domiciliary care. You’ll follow detailed clinical care plans, monitor changes in the individual’s condition and perform the specialist interventions needed to keep them safe, stable and comfortable at home.
