Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a registered nurse to join the PACU/critical care team. You will provide professional nursing care, coordinate care planning, and deliver evidence-based practices in a fast-paced unit.

Responsibilities include safe medication administration, interdisciplinary collaboration, patient education, and precepting new staff. A commitment to high-quality care and ongoing professional development is required.

Qualifications

• RN license – NH state or compact state.
• Minimum 1 year PACU/critical care experience preferred.
• BCLS certified or within 30 days of hire.
• CPAN or CAPA certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital policies, ANA standards of practice, and nursing code of ethics.
• Ensures safe, timely and accurate medication and IV administration and transcription.
• Documentation is accurate, timely, concise, and legible and adheres to departmental policy.
• Precepts new employees and facilitates professional development.
• Communicates effectively during patient hand-offs and with multidisciplinary teams.
• Performs comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing clinical decision making.
