Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to report to the Nurse Manager/Director of the Unit and provide professional nursing care within the assigned unit. The role coordinates care planning with other disciplines and supports mentoring, delegation, and education across the team.

The position emphasizes adherence to standards, patient safety, and ongoing professional growth. Applicant must maintain licensure and certifications, including BCLS and ACLS, with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license in NH or any compact state.
• BCLS certification.
• ACLS certification or within 1 year of hire.
• BSN strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital policies and ANA standards of practice; ensures safe, timely medication and IV administration and transcription.
• Precepts new employees and supports their learning and development.
• Delegates tasks appropriately based on licensure, education, and experience, and monitors staff utilization.
• Performs comprehensive patient history and physical assessments; utilizes evidenced-based assessment techniques.
• Plans care, prioritizes needs, and coordinates discharge planning with multidisciplinary teams.
• Evaluates outcomes and modifies the care plan accordingly, based on patient feedback.
• Provides patient and family education and develops education materials as needed.
• pursues formal education to maintain and advance clinical skills and participates in professional development.

Education

RN license (NH or any compact state)
