Join to apply for the PA to Managing Director role at Flair Rugs

We’re looking for a proactive, organised and ambitious Personal Assistant to provide support to our Managing Director. This isn’t just a PA role… it’s your chance to help keep the wheels turning at the heart of our business. You’ll work alongside our MD to turn ideas into action, bring teams together and help shape what’s next.

We’re Purpose-Driven. Since 1984, we’ve grown to become the largest in our sector and we’ve carried the same spirit with us every step of the way. We’re proud of our diverse, passionate team and the way we collaborate to make things happen. Our carefully crafted rugs are the centrepieces that bring rooms and people together. And that togetherness is the very essence of who we are.

You’ll Grow With Us. Whether you’re streamlining processes, learning how our supply chain works, or leading special projects, we’ll support your development every step of the way. This role is a stepping stone into wider leadership and operational roles, for those who want it.

Your Voice Matters. We love fresh thinking and value people who take the initiative. If you’re someone who’s curious, thoughtful and not afraid to think for yourself, you’ll fit right in.

Bring your Flair

You’re organised, adaptable, and naturally switched on. You love problem-solving, communicate with confidence and bring clarity to complexity. You thrive on taking ownership, staying one step ahead and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.

What We’re Looking For

  • A naturally organised, detail-focused person with great communication skills.
  • Someone confident with Microsoft 365 and comfortable using AI tools and digital systems.
  • Curious, tech-savvy, and solutions-oriented - you enjoy learning and getting stuck in.
  • You take ownership, stay one step ahead and know how to bring calm to a busy day.
  • A values-led mindset: honest, dependable and always acting with integrity.

Even Better If You Bring

  • Experience in a business or operational role.
  • An interest in systems, automation, or creative problem-solving.
  • The confidence to ask questions and challenge how things are done.

Your Day-to-day Will Include

  • Supporting the MD day-to-day from diary and inbox management to key project delivery.
  • Coordinating across teams, suppliers and partners to keep everything running smoothly.
  • Organising travel, meetings and documentation with calm, clarity and attention to detail.
  • Preparing presentations and reports, capturing actions and following up on deadlines.
  • Taking initiative - from making decisions in the MD’s absence to spotting ways we can work smarter.

What Success Looks Like

  • The MD’s day runs smoothly and stays on track, thanks to your quiet support behind the scenes.
  • Meetings happen on time, actions are followed up and things move forward without fuss.
  • You’re known as someone reliable and steady - people can turn to you when things need sorting.
  • Even when it’s busy, you help bring a bit of calm and order to the mix.
  • At the end of the day, you know you’ve made a real difference, even if it’s behind the scenes.

Salary: From £27,000 DOE

Contract: Full Time, Permanent, 37.5 hours per week

Hybrid/On The Road Working

While you’re finding your feet at Flair, you will spend most of your days in the office where we work the core hours of 09:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday with flexible start/finish times according to your schedule and location needs. Time will be spent working with the MD both onsite, home office and on the road.
