About the Role

The Burford Recruitment Company is seeking a reliable and organised Part-Time Office Administrator/Personal Assistant to join our client’s team. This role is crucial to ensuring the smooth operation of the office and supporting the owner in day-to-day administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a dynamic environment.

Main Duties
  1. Manage day-to-day office operations, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and greeting clients.
  2. Schedule and coordinate appointments or meetings for the contractors/subcontractors in the local area.
  3. Maintain and organise office files, records, and documentation.
  4. Assist in preparing and distributing invoices, quotes, and correspondence.
  5. Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  6. Perform general office duties, such as ordering supplies, managing office equipment, and ensuring a clean and orderly workspace.
Qualifications
  1. Proven experience as an Office Administrator, Office Manager or similar role.
  2. Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  3. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic accounting software such as SAGE. Prior knowledge of SAGE would be advantageous.
  5. Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
  6. Familiarity with the construction or plumbing industry is a plus.
  7. A proactive and flexible approach to work, with a keen attention to detail.
  8. Part-time: Approximately 20-25 hours per week.
