Thames Water is recruiting an Instrumentation, Control & Automation (ICA) Technician for Oxford Wastewater Treatment Works. Based in Oxford, you will support site operations and other regional sites to keep assets running safely and reliably.

You will manage planned ICA maintenance, respond to alarms, and work with SCADA/PLCs while following high health and safety standards. A fully equipped van and necessary tools are provided.

Qualifications

• Qualified to HNC or NVQ3 in instrumentation, control & automation.
• 18th Edition (BS7671) qualification.
• 3-phase electrical knowledge.
• Experience with SCADA/ PLCs (Rockwell/Allen‑Bradley).
• Ability to read circuit diagrams and fault-find instrumentation.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsabilités

• Deliver planned and reactive ICA maintenance to ensure asset reliability and compliance.
• Support site control systems including SCADA, PLCs and process control networks.
• Work within a multi-disciplinary team across operations, electrical and mechanical functions.
• Install, commission and fault-find instrumentation and control equipment to industry standards.
• Investigate plant failures, perform timely repairs to minimise downtime.
• Provide ICA technical expertise and maintain current best practices.
