Job summary

HomeCareDirect is seeking a compassionate PA or HCA to support a young man in Barnsley with complex care needs. You will provide 2:1 daily routines, personal care, and engage through games, reading, and activities to promote wellbeing.

The role requires resilience, patience and the ability to work nights (8pm–8am) on Thursday and another night, with training and ongoing support from regional leads.

Qualifications

• Eligibility to work in the UK is required.
• Knowledge of epilepsy is essential.
• Experience and knowledge of behaviours with restraint/breakaway is essential.
• Knowledge of dissociative seizures is desirable.
• Previous care experience is desirable.
• Willing to be playful and learn with the client.
• Clear and confident English communication with the client and team.

• Providing 2:1 support with daily routines and activities.
