Job summary

HealthJobs4U.com Ltd is seeking experienced care workers to provide 2:1 overnight support for an individual with complex care needs in Poole, United Kingdom.

You will work 8:00pm to 8:00am, delivering personal care, PEG feeding assistance, and monitoring respiratory support and safety. A calm, patient approach and reliable team collaboration are essential to ensure high-quality care. Previous experience with continence care, skin integrity checks, and accurate record-keeping is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in complex care and overnight support (8pm–8am) with PEG feeding.
• Confidence with PEG feeding and respiratory support; safe moving and handling.
• Ability to monitor signs of distress and communicate with care team.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal, continence and oral hygiene support.
• Administer medications via PEG per MAR.
• Support PEG feeding, flushes and JEJ drainage.
• Support oxygen, CPAP/ventilator equipment and suctioning.
• Safely reposition and transfer with hoist/sliding sheet, with two carers.
• Monitor skin integrity and reposition to prevent pressure areas.
• Monitor for pain, distress or changes in presentation and escalate.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and document care records.
• Communicate effectively with the wider care team and family.

We are looking for experienced, compassionate and reliable care workers to provide 2:1 overnight support to an individual with complex care needs.

Hours: 8:00pm - 8:00am

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide full support with personal care, continence care and oral hygiene
• Administer medication via PEG in accordance with the care plan and MAR
• Support with PEG feeding, flushes and JEJ drainage, ensuring all tubing is secure and correctly positioned
• Provide support with oxygen, CPAP/ventilator equipment and suctioning, where trained and authorised
• Safely reposition and transfer using the appropriate hoist/sliding sheet, with two carers
• Monitor skin integrity and pressure areas, ensuring regular repositioning and appropriate pressure care
