Zohorecruit is recruiting a compassionate Personal Assistant (PA) or Health Care Assistant (HCA) to support a young person with complex care needs in Barnsley. The role focuses on companionship, engagement in activities, and safe daily routines.

You will provide 2:1 support, assist with personal care and medications, and help the client stay engaged through games and reading. A patient, adaptable, and energetic approach is essential for building a positive, fun environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeof Epilepsy is essential.
• Experience and knowledge of behaviours with restraint/breakaway is desirable.

We are looking for a compassionate, proactive and engaging PersonalAssistant (PA) or Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join a dedicated teamsupporting a young person with complex care and behavioural needs in Barnsley.This role would suit someone who is naturally warm, interactive and happy toget involved.If you enjoy board games, electronic games, storytelling andbuilding genuine connections, this could be a brilliant match.

Meet Our Client

You will be supporting a young man who enjoys regular interaction,games and engaging activities. They are looking for a proactive, friendly andenergetic Support Worker with a playful and bubbly personality who can providecompanionship and keep them engaged through activities such as board games,electronic games and reading. The individual has Worster-Drought Syndrome,hypothyroidism, complex epilepsy, Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, a Vagus NerveStimulator (VNS), scoliosis, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD andPathological Demand Avoidance (PDA). The ideal candidate will be patient,adaptable and confident in supporting someone with complex health andbehavioural needs while promoting a fun, positive and engaging environment.

• PreviousCare experience is desirable

• Fullclean UK driving licence(25+ for insurance purposes) – Desirable
