Phoenix Care Staff Ltd is seeking a compassionate Newborn Care Assistant for night shifts. You will monitor families, ensure safety, and support newborn care practices while maintaining detailed records and escalating concerns when needed.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months of UK care experience, with newborn/childcare experience and an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service preferred. Night shifts require vigilance and professionalism.

Competenze

• Essential: at least 6 months’ experience in a UK care setting.
• Preferred: newborn/childcare experience and an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service.

Mansioni

• Monitor family interactions and identify strengths, needs and risks.
• Maintain safety and safeguarding per service policies and privacy requirements.
• Intervene when unsafe care practices occur and escalate as needed.
• Keep detailed, objective notes of observations and incidents during shift.
• Support families with newborn care guidance: handling, feeding, settling, safe sleep.
• Identify and report concerns to the appropriate senior staff promptly.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, infection prevention, and policies.
• Provide clear handovers to colleagues and management for continuity of care.
• Remain vigilant overnight and adapt to evolving risks during night shifts.
