Turning Point UK is expanding its Recovery Lounge in Manchester by creating an overnight team to support crisis services. The Overnight Team Leader will assist the Service Manager, supervise Overnight Recovery Workers and provide direct user support when needed.

The role involves triage, risk assessments, safety planning and applying recovery-focused, person-centred approaches to help service users make informed choices. Strong collaboration with partners is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in mental health, health and social care, or related support roles.
• Proven leadership, supervisory or team management experience.
• Understanding of recovery-focused and person-centred support.
• Experience supporting individuals in crisis and managing risk.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to inspire, develop and positively challenge colleagues.
• Genuine interest in mental health through work, qualifications or lived experience.

Responsabilités

• Lead, motivate and support a team of Overnight Recovery Workers.
• Assist with day-to-day service management and deputise for the Service Manager.
• Provide direct support to service users during shifts when required.
• Oversee triage, risk assessments, safety planning and crisis de-escalation.
• Promote recovery-focused approaches that support informed choices.
• Build relationships with external partners and stakeholders.
• Conduct staff supervision, team meetings and contribute to service development.
• Monitor quality standards and undertake audits of service delivery.
