Job summary

Turning Point UK is seeking a Mental Health Recovery Worker to support residents in a residential service in Stevenage. You will provide recovery-focused, person-centred support to help individuals identify strengths, set goals, and build confidence toward greater independence within their communities.

The role involves flexible shift patterns, including evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays, and requires compassionate, trauma-informed care to empower residents on their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• Experience in health and social care settings is preferred.
• Ability to build trusting, therapeutic relationships.
• Strong communication and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, trusting relationships with residents.
• Support individuals to achieve recovery goals via personalised plans.
• Assist with daily living skills such as budgeting, meal prep, self-care and tenancy tasks.
• Encourage social inclusion and community participation.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and partner agencies.
