Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Chef to support a contract catering site in Warrington. You will assist with daily food preparation, manage your station, and uphold safety, hygiene, and standards throughout shifts.

The role requires Level 2 catering qualifications, leadership ability, and excellent teamwork and communication. On-site work with a strong focus on delivering quality meals to clients.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK.
• Level 2 in Catering and Hospitality or equivalent.
• Knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling.
• Experience as a Chef in contract catering.
• Ability to lead and manage teams.
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Excellent time-management and organisation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support and handle day-to-day food preparation when the senior chef is absent.
• Manage cooking at your station to deliver dishes on time.
• Ensure safety, hygiene and proper use of utensils and equipment on site.
• Notify Senior Chefs when inventory is running low to keep stock adequate.
• Work with the culinary team to maintain high-quality food and service during the shift.
