Job summary

Vita Student is seeking an Overnight Customer Service Assistant in Newcastle to deliver a personalised, proactive resident experience during the night. You will combine customer service with reception, facilities support and building operations to maintain a five-star living environment around the clock.

The role requires an enthusiastic, service-focused individual with the ability to work independently on night shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering exceptional customer service within hospitality, hotels, student accommodation or similar environments.
• Hands-on, proactive approach to maintaining clean, safe spaces with attention to presentation.
• Confidence using a range of digital systems and software to support day-to-day operations.
• Experience managing competing priorities with minimal supervision.
• Night shift, overnight, reception or front-of-house experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm, professional reception experience for students, guests and visitors.
• Respond confidently to resident enquiries with guidance and practical support.
• Manage parcel deliveries and ensure smooth collection.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming atmosphere across the residence overnight.
• Assist with building operations and facilities during night hours.
