Job summary

Vita Group is seeking a Customer Service Assistant in Leeds to join Vita Student. The role covers early morning, daytime and overnight shifts with varied hours, including weekends.

You will deliver a five-star reception experience, manage parcels, maintain amenities and support safety and housekeeping across the residence. The position is permanent, part‑time (minimum 25 hours/week) with an hourly rate of £13.45 and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering exceptional customer service within hospitality, hotels, student accommodation, residential services, customer support, retail, leisure or other customer-facing environments.
• Hands-on and proactive approach to maintaining clean, safe and welcoming spaces.
• Comfortable using a range of digital systems, technology and software to support day-to-day operations.
• Experience working night shifts, overnight, reception or guest services would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a warm, professional, engaging reception environment and build positive relationships with residents and guests.
• Respond to enquiries and concerns with a proactive, solutions-focused approach to ensure an exceptional resident experience.
• Conduct regular building inspections and address maintenance, safety and operational issues where appropriate.
• Manage parcel deliveries, resident amenities and refreshment stock, ensuring services are organized and replenished.
• Act as first point of contact for incidents, emergencies and welfare concerns while maintaining waste management areas according to health and safety requirements.
• Maintain presentation, cleanliness and upkeep of the residence to exceptional standards.
• Carry out regular cleaning and presentation checks across communal spaces to keep environments welcoming and resident-ready.
• Replenish resident amenities and refreshments.
• Support safety, operational readiness and presentation during overnight hours.
