Job summary

LGH Hotels Management Limited, owner of Holiday Inn Oxford, seeks a reliable Night Porter to join the overnight team. You will support guests, ensure safety, and help prepare for the day ahead.

The role focuses on guest check-ins/outs, security, light housekeeping, and maintaining a calm, welcoming environment for late-night and early-morning arrivals. Free meals on duty, free parking and staff discounts are included.

Qualifications

• Dependable and able to work independently overnight.
• Calm, professional communication with guests and colleagues.
• Attention to detail and sense of responsibility during night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist guests checking in or out during overnight hours in a friendly and professional manner.
• Monitor the hotel and surrounding areas to ensure safety and security of guests, colleagues and property.
• Respond promptly and calmly to guest requests or concerns, helping guests feel reassured and supported.
• Assist with light housekeeping duties to maintain comfortable, tidy guest areas.
• Prepare breakfast areas and/or coffee service to support early‑morning guests and teams.
• Complete basic administrative tasks such as filing, record‑keeping and handover notes.
