Job summary

Second Nature is seeking a Night Host to welcome guests overnight, keep the building safe and calm, and support housekeeping and the Night Manager. Your presence ensures guests sleep soundly and the morning team starts with a clear handover.

You will balance hospitality with vigilance, respond to late arrivals, and use sound judgement to resolve issues while maintaining a warm, professional demeanor during night shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, front of house, night work or similar guest-facing role.
• A warm, welcoming manner, even at 3am.
• Comfort working alone during quiet hours, knowing when to call for backup.
• Alert, observant nature and attention to detail.
• Calm, professional approach when the unexpected happens.

Responsibilities

• Welcome late arrivals and look after early departures to make check-in/out easy at any hour.
• Respond quickly and kindly to guest requests and room issues through the night.
• Walk the building regularly, checking common areas, corridors and entrances.
• Monitor CCTV and security systems and ensure doors/windows are secure.
• Report maintenance issues promptly, especially safety-related ones.
• Help housekeeping with urgent room needs and support the night team.
• Keep clear records of the nights activity and incidents.
• Give the morning team a clear handover for a smooth start.
