Job summary

Daish’s Holidays seeks a Night Porter to help keep the hotel safe, secure and welcoming while most guests sleep. You will support the daytime reception team and be a key point of contact during the night.

The role involves front-of-house duties, guest assistance, and maintaining security with lone-working procedures in place. All-year-round employment and a friendly team are on offer.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel or night porter experience is helpful but isn't essential.
• Must be responsible, approachable and able to work independently.
• Comfortable following security and safety procedures.
• Calm and professional when dealing with guests.

Responsibilities

• Carry out front-of-house duties, including welcoming guests and responding to their needs.
• Provide a friendly, professional and efficient service throughout the night.
• Deal with guest requests and help ensure they have a comfortable stay.
• Maintain the security of the hotel during the night, as directed by Hotel Management.
• Carry out regular security walks and log checks and actions.
• Follow fire safety procedures and procedures for emergencies or ill guests.
• Follow lone-working procedures to ensure personal safety at night.
• Assist guests with luggage and report issues to Hotel Management.
