Job summary

Second Nature in Belfast is seeking a Night Host to keep the building safe, welcoming and calm through the night. You’ll greet late arrivals, look after guests and coordinate with housekeeping and the Night Manager to ensure a smooth handover at dawn.

Your calm presence helps guests sleep soundly and supports a positive morning shift. The role blends hospitality with security, requires good judgement, and offers training, strong teamwork, and opportunities to grow within the Lamington Group’s

Qualifications

• Some experience in hospitality, front of house, night work, security or a similar guest-facing role.
• A warm, welcoming manner, even at 3am.
• Comfort working on your own during quiet hours, while knowing when to call for backup.
• An alert, observant nature, so you notice when something isn't quite right.

Responsibilities

• Welcome late arrivals and look after early departures, so check-in and check-out feel easy at any hour.
• Respond quickly and kindly to guest requests and room issues through the night.
• Walk the building regularly, checking common areas, corridors and entrances.
• Monitor CCTV and security systems, make sure doors and windows are secure, and respond calmly to alarms.
• Report maintenance issues straight away, especially anything safety-related.
• Help housekeeping with urgent room needs and support the rest of the night team.
• Keep clear, accurate records of the night's activity and any incidents.
• Give the morning team a clear handover, so nothing falls through the cracks.
