Job summary

Second Nature is seeking a Night Supervisor to keep the property safe, secure, and welcoming during night hours. You’ll be the face guests see when they need something in the early hours, balancing attentiveness with efficiency and coordinating with housekeeping while supporting the Night Manager.

You’ll work independently on quiet shifts, read a room, respond to requests, monitor security, and help maintain guest care and safety throughout the night.

Qualifications

• Some experience in night operations or hotel duties.
• Experience responding to guest requests and handling issues.
• Comfort with monitoring systems and basic security procedures.
• The ability to work well on your own during quiet periods.
• An alert, observant nature, especially during quiet hours.
• A calm, professional approach to unexpected situations.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest requests and room issues promptly during night hours.
• Assist with late check-ins and early check-outs for odd hours.
• Patrol common areas and corridors, staying alert through the night.
• Monitor security systems and ensure doors/windows are secure.
• Report maintenance issues promptly, especially safety-related.
• Support fellow night staff and assist housekeeping with urgent room issues.
• Keep clear, accurate records of night-time activity and incidents.
• Know basic emergency procedures to guide guests confidently.
