SCR is recruiting a Family Assessment Worker to join our Dudley-based family assessment centre, supporting parents and young children during overnight placements. You will observe interactions, record clear, factual observations, and remain calm and professional through the night.

This role involves hourly checks, safeguarding duties, and providing careful handovers to the assessment team. Previous experience with children, families, safeguarding, or residential care is welcome, and an Enhanced

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and families is helpful.
• Enhanced DBS check is required.
• Reliable, responsible and able to communicate effectively while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Comfortable with night shifts and remaining observant and calm.

Responsabilités

• Support parents and children during overnight placements, ensuring safety and wellbeing.
• Complete regular hourly checks and patrols throughout the night.
• Observe parent-child interactions and accurately record observations.
• Maintain records of observations, incidents and relevant information.
• Assist with care of babies and young children (feeding, changing, settling).
• Monitor CCTV and report safeguarding or welfare concerns.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and report concerns promptly.
• Provide clear handovers to the assessment team.
• Adhere to all centre policies, procedures and risk assessments.
