Job summary

Raycare Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated Night Care Worker to provide compassionate personal care to residents from 7:00pm to 7:00am, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the night.

You will monitor residents’ wellbeing, assist with toileting, mobility and reassurance, follow care plans, maintain dignity and privacy, and report changes promptly. You’ll also help with infection control, documentation, and liaising with the day team and family as directed.

Qualifications

• Experience in care or personal caring role.
• Attention to cleanliness and infection control.
• Able to work night shifts consistently.
• Good communication and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including washing, dressing, toileting, continence care and assistance at night
• Assist residents who wake, need reassurance, or require help moving/turning in bed
• Monitor residents’ wellbeing — observe, report and record any changes in condition, behaviour or mood
• Support with fluid intake, medication prompts and comfort measures as per care plans
• Maintain residents’ dignity, privacy and independence at all times
• Follow individual care plans and risk assessments — adjust support as agreed
