26 hours per week,8 pm - 8 am - 3 on and 3 off.

We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants (Nights) to join our friendly team in our dementia care home. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of older people living with dementia by providing high-quality, person-centred care throughout the night.

As a Night Care Assistant, you will help ensure residents feel safe, comfortable, and supported, promoting their dignity, independence, and wellbeing at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, including toileting, continence care, dressing, and hygiene support.
• Carry out regular wellbeing and safety checks throughout the night.
• Support residents with mobility and repositioning, following safe moving and handling procedures.
• Respond promptly to call bells and residents' requests for assistance.
• Provide reassurance and emotional support to residents who may be anxious, distressed, or unsettled.
• Monitor residents' health and wellbeing and report any concerns appropriately.
• Maintain accurate care records and complete handovers at the start and end of each shift.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
• Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, infection control, and care home policies.
