Are you passionate about supporting women affected by domestic abuse and helping them move towards safety and independence?
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Outreach Domestic Abuse Practitioner to join a specialist service supporting women and children affected by domestic abuse across Coventry.
You will provide high-quality, person-centred support to women in the community, managing a caseload and helping service users overcome practical, emotional and social barriers. The role will have a strong focus on safeguarding, risk management, advocacy and empowerment.
You will ideally have previous experience within domestic abuse, outreach, IDVA, women's services or community-based support, alongside a good understanding of safeguarding, risk assessment and multi-agency working.
Knowledge of Honour-Based Abuse, Forced Marriage, FGM, No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF) and the additional challenges experienced by women from BAME/BAMER communities would be highly beneficial.
You should be empathetic, culturally sensitive, non-judgemental and confident working both independently and alongside other professionals.
A full driving licence, access to a vehicle with business insurance and an Enhanced DBS are required.
Due to the nature of the service and the direct support provided to women affected by domestic abuse, this role is open to female applicants where an Occupational Requirement applies under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
