Job summary

RSR is recruiting two Outreach Workers for a specialist domestic abuse support service in Coventry. You will manage your own caseload, provide one-to-one support, advocacy and risk assessments, and work with community and statutory services to help women access the support they need.

You will identify needs, develop ISPs, and provide group work, training and referrals to specialist services. A community-facing role with opportunities to impact lives is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience of providing one-to-one support or casework to vulnerable individuals.
• Understanding of domestic abuse and its impact on women and children.
• Experience undertaking risk and needs assessments and safety planning.
• Experience developing and reviewing support plans.
• Strong advocacy and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage a caseload and prioritise your workload.
• Experience of multi-agency working and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality casework, one-to-one support and advocacy to women affected by domestic abuse.
• Undertake regular risk and needs assessments and develop appropriate safety plans.
• Develop, implement and regularly review ISPs with service users.
• Provide practical, emotional and advocacy support.
• Identify needs and make referrals to specialist agencies and services.
• Support women to access statutory, voluntary and community services.
• Facilitate access to wider specialist services and develop partnerships with community organisations.
• Encourage development of mutual support networks and deliver group work and trainings.
• Develop communication methods to meet individual service users’ needs.
