Job summary

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a proactive Pathway Co-Ordinator to support outpatient services. The role requires strong organisation, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.

You will liaise with colleagues, patients and clinical teams to coordinate clinic workflows, chase scans, and ensure timely appointments while maintaining high standards of patient care.

Qualifications

• Experience in an NHS administrative role.
• Experience in a Customer/Patient Care environment.
• Strong organisational/time management skills and ability to multi-task under pressure.
• Excellent communication across written, face-to-face and telephone channels.

Responsibilities

• Dealing with patient queries face to face and by telephone.
• Clinic preparation including chasing patient scans and escalations as needed.
• Booking patient appointments and managing capacity issues.
• Monitoring and actioning emails from the generic inbox.
• Deputise for the team leader when necessary.
• Liaising with consultants, nurses, HCA's and other outpatient staff.
• Following up on missing outcomes from clinic.
