Landmarc Support Services are currently seeking to recruit a Training Area Operative to join our dedicated team. In this role you will play a key part in helping to maintain a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to train.

We look for someone enthusiastic about outdoor work with a can-do attitude. This permanent, full-time on-site role at Ash Ranges offers full training, progression and excellent benefits.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Grounds and Landscape Maintenance.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic IT skills with ability to use a tablet.
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse, fast-paced team environment.
• Good knowledge of COSHH, manual handling, risk assessments and Health & Safety protocols.
• A valid Manual UK driving licence is essential to carry out the duties of this role.

Responsibilities

• Keep the Defence Training Estate in top condition.
• Carry out preventative, planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Operate and maintain plant and equipment (training provided).
• Manufacture and deploy targets.
• Equipment testing.
• Drive and operate fleet vehicles.
• Use of warning systems including training control offices, flags and lights.
• Ensure facilities adhere to strict safety protocols.
• Stock management.
• Complete work orders and pre-planned maintenance.
• Complete all necessary documentation using IT and paper-based systems.
