Job summary

Employal is seeking a commercially driven Sales Manager in the UK to lead and coach an outbound sales team of up to 10 professionals. This is a hands-on leadership role, not just dashboard numbers, requiring real coaching and frontline influence.

You will develop prospecting, cold calling, objection handling and closing skills, work with senior leadership to improve performance, and help shape the future structure of the growing sales function.

Qualifications

• Experience in advertising, digital media, marketing services or agency sales.
• Started in proactive new business sales and generated opportunities from nothing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of up to 10 outbound sales professionals
• Coaching across prospecting, cold calling, objection handling, meetings and closing
• Running regular one-to-ones, call coaching and team development sessions
• Managing performance across activity, meetings, pipeline and revenue
• Identifying opportunities to improve conversion and pipeline
• Supporting salespeople on client meetings and in the field when required
• Driving a strong new-business culture with clear accountability
• Working closely with senior leadership to improve overall sales performance
• Helping shape the future structure and development of a growing sales function
