Job summary

Block is seeking a BDR Manager in the UK to lead a five-person outbound team focused on generating pipeline across SMB and Mid-Market merchants. You will report directly to the UK CEO and shape hiring, coaching and day-to-day performance in a hybrid working environment.

You will own hiring, onboarding, coaching, outbound strategy and collaborate with Sales Leadership, Marketing, CRM and Sales Strategy while experimenting with new tools and AI to improve results.

Qualifications

• Experience managing an outbound sales or business development team.
• Track record of hiring, coaching and developing high-performing sales talent.
• Confidence in managing performance.
• Experience improving outbound strategy rather than simply executing an existing playbook.
• A data-driven approach to coaching and decision-making.
• Curiosity around AI and modern sales technology.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of outbound BDRs.
• Build a high-performance culture in a hybrid working environment.
• Partner with AEs to maximise pipeline generation across SMB and Mid-Market.
• Hire and onboard new BDRs as the team grows.
• Continuously improve outbound strategy, messaging and account targeting.
• Partner with Marketing, CRM and Sales Strategy to improve how the team operates.
• Experiment with new tools, AI capabilities and ways of working.
• Use data to identify opportunities and improve team performance.
