I am recruiting for an Appointment Maker to maximise sales through high quality leads and working as a team towards agreed set targets and profitability goals.
You will also provide a high level of sales support by ensuring all queries are responded to in an efficient, professional and timely manner.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities, produce leads and book appointments for the New Business Development Manager with the emphasis on high quality leads
- To manage and maintain the database and proactively follow up leads generated from database and external enquiries, making 60-70 calls per day.
- To make a minimum of 2 call per annum to all contacts on database.
- Use of initiative to identify and follow up opportunities with companies who are not already on the database.
- Manage the database to a high degree of accuracy to ensure targeted marketing activity can take place to generate new business.
- To set up and send targeted sector mail merges each month with follow up call.
- Following MailChimp mailing to contact key organisations who have shown an interest.
- To form relationships with Key individual in potential client sectors
- To manage the enquiries inbox with the help of the team and actions emails accordingly
- To help identify tender opportunities via portals and subsidiaries
- Qualify new data as well as prospecting for new leads
- Work closely with the New Business Manager and New Business Coordinator to achieve sales objectives
- Attend monthly meetings with New Business team to update information and discuss any issues.
- Liaise effectively with all departments within the business to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Contribute to the team performance by sharing and implementing Best Practice ideas.
- Provide some administrative support such as filling out set forms and monitoring and sending emails.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
- Computer literate/keyboard skills
- At least 1 – 2 years working within a sales environment preferably in a proactive appointment making / telemarketing role
- Excellent telephone skills
- High degree of accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise issues
Intellectual Demands
- Must have minimum ‘O’ level/GCSE Maths and English
- Ability to adapt procedures to a new and more effective way of working (in relation primarily to database management)

- Ability to build strong working relationships (internal/external)
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
- Ability to persuade, influence and negotiate effectively at all levels within and outside the organisation
Hours for this role are Monday- Friday 9am- 4.30pm
