Job summary

Oakley Recruitment is partnering with an expanding Tamworth-based organisation to recruit an Outbound Customer Advisor on a full-time temporary-to-permanent basis. The role includes full training and the opportunity to earn a monthly commission.

You will make outbound calls to business customers about outstanding debt, assess individual circumstances and negotiate payment arrangements. The role offers a collaborative, professional office environment with structured hours and ongoing support.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role or strong transferable customer service skills from retail/ hospitality or other customer-focused environments.
• Excellent verbal communication and confidence when speaking with customers on the phone.
• Strong negotiation skills with empathy and assertiveness.
• Ability to build rapport and make a positive first impression.
• Resilience and professionalism during challenging conversations.

Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to business customers to discuss outstanding debt.
• Understand individual circumstances and support the collection of payments.
• Build rapport and maintain professional relationships with business customers.
• Handle sensitive conversations with empathy and assertiveness.
• Negotiate outcomes and work towards successful resolutions.
• Send emails and follow up with customers; update internal records.
• Support account activity by working closely with the wider team.
