Job summary

Oakley Recruitment Limited in Tamworth is seeking a Customer Service Advisor to join a busy, friendly team on a full-time permanent basis. You will handle inbound calls and emails, process orders, prepare quotes, set up customers for online ordering and work closely with Area Sales Managers to chase deliveries and maintain service levels.

The ideal candidate will have proven customer service experience, be confident under pressure, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar customer service role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional with customers in challenging situations.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Sage is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Taking inbound calls and dealing with enquiries from customers, the external sales team and the general public.
• Managing customer enquiries received via email.
• Processing internet and email orders.
• Preparing customer quotes.
• Setting up customers for online ordering.
• Working closely with Area Sales Managers.
• Liaising with carriers to chase deliveries and obtain proof of delivery.
• Managing forward orders, call-offs and customer projects.
• Monitoring orders, deliveries and service levels while building strong relationships with key accounts.
